We have been home now for 3 weeks and what a full 3 weeks it has been! Rog spent days and days cleaning up and fixing up our house to sell and after only 3 days on the market, we got an offer! The conditions have been lifted and now we wait to close the deal...we are so thankful! We have also managed to pack up our trailer and we hope it is on its way to Niger soon! It will likely get there a couple of months after we do...all of our stuff managed to be crammed into quite a small space! Again, Rog did a great job packing and we are so thankful to my cousins and brothers-in-laws for helping us with our move. (I, unfortunately, did not get any pictures of this...I was at home with the kids!)
We have our tickets to Niger in hand now and are left with only some minor things to do...well...not so minor (like applying for visas)...just a lot of little things to do.
Our time in Edmonton has been packed with lots of visiting and catching up with friends and family. We are so grateful to my sister and her family for taking us in and letting us stay in her basement. We have also been overwhelmed by the love and support of all those around us...I already know it will be a tearful goodbye when we leave on July 27th. But we know that God goes ahead of us...
For those of you interested...we are speaking at Devon Alliance Church on Sunday, June 26th, and at Spruce Grove Alliance on Sunday, July 3rd. We will be having our official "send off" by our Southgate family on Sunday, July 10th. Phew....Quebec seems like so long ago...we miss all of you there!0
