Proud drivers of a white 4x4!!

Yes, I would never have guessed that a city-born Korean Canadian like myself would ever end up driving a Toyota double cab...but here I am! We are so thankful to all of you who have allowed this to happen by your generous donations. Rog spent many hours in search of the right vehicle. We did not feel that we had to buy a brand new vehicle (seeing as Rog is quite handy) and yet, we needed something reliable that would not break down if we were to drive it to a village. We praise God that the patience for the right truck paid off. We found this one, a 2009 Toyota Hilux for a very good price (we saved at least $15 000 by buying used!). It took a few weeks for the papers to go through and for us to get our license plates, but we are now on the road! We are very grateful. There are still minor things that need to be done with the truck (a new windshield, for example), but we are officially driving this truck now. We are very grateful to you all.

We also finally got the kids' bikes assembled and though they do not have much chance to practice riding them (the sand is quite deep) they are excited to be on them. These bikes were brought with all of our other stuff on the container.
One last thing...the school that Jaelyn goes to, Sahel Academy, is in need of workers! This school allows children (missionary kids) from all over Africa to have quality Christian education as their parents serve in Niger and other countries on this side of the ocean. The community at Sahel changes often, but this year, the needs for the school seem more than past years. From teachers to support staff, they could likely use you and your gifts. We are so grateful these days...for the cooler weather, the team (that is essentially our family here), for all of you that support us financially and prayerfully, our families that support us and allow us to be here, and most of all, for our Great God who uses us. Who are we that God would bring us here? We are blown away that we could be considered worthy to be here and we couldn't do it without you. So thank you.
