SUMMER IS OVER!!!We managed to get in a visit with the new nephew and it was a blast in Ottawa...the top three are pictures from Ottawa with Lucas and Matthew.
This is a picture of the kids at the playground with some friends (francophone)...what a great summer it has been but it has been 3 weeks since we started school...and we are full steam ahead!
Here is a typical day for us:
5-6am: Nathan gets up and wakes one, or both of us with him.
6 to 6:45am - Mira starts the coffee, starts packing lunches, and makes breakfast for the kids
6:45am - we usually have to wake Jaelyn up and she is not that happy about it
6:45-7:20am - she eats, gets dressed and we get her out the door and onto the school bus
7:20- 7:35am - get dressed, Rog and Mira eat breakfast if haven't already, get Nathan ready to leave
7:35-7:40am - out the door and take Nathan to dayhome for 7:45 and get us to school for class
8:30 - 11:30am - class
11:30 - 12:30pm - we hang out in the school "salle d'animation" where we can speak french with people and ask questions
12:30 - 3:00pm - do homework at school
3:00pm - leave Laval and pick Jaelyn up from school, then Nathan
3:40pm - arrive home and Mira starts dinner, Rog helps Jaelyn with homework, Jocelyn plays with Nathan
5:00pm - dinner
6:00pm - bath or play time
6:30pm - start getting the kids ready for bed and put them to bed
7:00pm - one of us puts kids to bed and will usually fall asleep with them for a power nap
7:30 - 10:30pm - more homework/language study stuff
Mira tries to get to bed before 11pm but Rog has been getting to bed later and man, we are pooped!! We try to catch up on sleep on the weekends, but the kids don't seem to realize (especially Nathan) that he doesn't have to wake up early ON SATURDAYS!!
It is 7:30pm as Mira writes this...I am showered with my PJs on and in bed...so ready to sleep but will try to do some homework first...Rog is "putting the kids to bed" but I think THEY put HIM to sleep! .....zzzzzzzz
